"In our society, it is better to be guilty and rich than to be innocent and poor." That true and disturbing comment was made to the world during the ABC program NIGHTLINE.
The fact is "Equal Justice Under Law" is just not true for those who are unable to pay the price. In America you get as much justice as you can afford, and for many American citizens, that doesn't amount to very much.
The purpose of our meetings aren't to dwell on what's wrong with our legal system. The purpose of our meetings are to showcase the solutions and answers to the real problems that face most people in North America.
In America the wealthiest 10% of the population keep their own lawyers on retainer, and the bottom 10% have access to the public defender system. That leaves the rest of us, the 80% of middle income Americans that make too much for the public defender system and don't make near enough to afford the ever growing cost of legal fees. We believe everyone should have a legal voice in matters of all sizes, and they shouldn't have to worry about how they're going to pay for it! We invite all those who are truly interested in combating these problems and showing others how to do the same.

I'm hoping that citizen-led legal action can better our lives, and would like to know more. Can you post the Minutes of the meetings, for those who can't attend in person? What about choosing lawyers? http://my-best-lawyer.blogspot.com/

I won't be able to physically attend meet-ups, but I would hope it grows to a closer area. I've run for state office, and have questions about the election process in NC(legality).

There is far too little justice for those who can't afford it. Our movement aims to solve this problem and we are looking to inform Americans on how we can take an active part on helping to become part of the solution and help educate others.
